As for Vigan, The Conversion of Saint Paul has always been celebrated by the Bigueños every January 25 th of the year.                       New beginnings, new hope, new horizon                                   It is believed that when we start the new year right, it will bring us prosperity and happiness. Traditionally, we prepare different things that is made believe to give us luck for the next year that was made believed by the Chinese citizens. Starting off, by the belief of having a lucky color, astrology or the luckiest animal sign of the year, setting of fireworks, preparing a prosperity bowl for it is believed to give us abundance and prosperity, believing in lucky charms and rituals to bring them good fortune in the coming year.              Yet with all these believes, the most powerful weapon that we can use to have luck is prayers.  ...

          “Christmas is the day that holds all time together” Alexander Smith Christmas is a great time for families. As for us, this has always been our family’s most awaited and our most favorite time of the year. As a normal FIlipino family, we started preparing the Christmas season by setting up different decorations inside our house. Attending the 9 simbang gabi’s is also a part of our necessary things to do during this time of the year. The preparing for our noche buena was also so fun, especially if everyone is helping. Staying up until 12 midnight while having a countdown, waiting for the day our Christ was born.           During daytime, we are inviting our uncles, aunts and cousins together for lunch. We became a very important key source of living.       As we celebrate this National Children Month, we aim on having an environment where safety, good education and good healthcare radiates. Children nowadays are suffering from their own trauma, from poverty and from homelessness. No parental guidance is also included to be one of the biggest problems they have.         There are times that you just want to give up, not knowing what to do next. Just want to be alone, for you don’t know if you’re at the right path. Just want to cry for you can’t handle the stress. Just want to have enough sleep your body needs. Just want to go back to how things are made easy for you.
