Kannawidan at its finest!

             
              

              Reviving the Ilocano culture through the conduct of the annual Kannawidan Festival.

A two long week celebration starting from January 31, 2023 with a mass then a procession is now slowly is coming to its end. Two weeks of enjoyment and excitement. We all have witnessed and experienced so many activities being held and promoted by the local government.

            Kannawidan is being celebrated every year as a tribute to the separation of the two Ilocos Provinces. As this celebration keeps on going, different activities are being planned and is being carried out. This festival showcases the different believes, performances, cooking shows, pageants and the religious rituals Bigueños do believe on. The main reason for this festival is for the Bigueños to remember and to revive the practices, deeds and activities Vigan has ever since. It is to pay tribute and respect towards our elders.

           Kannawidan as a ‘tawid’ or inheritance. It will always serve as a reminder of how beautiful the past is, and how this past has done so many things towards our history and to the lives of many. Forever we will treasure this celebration within our hearts. Viva Vigan!

                              In the midst of uncertainties, we all are here standing brave and strong, ready to face the final stage within our junior high school moment. Struggles are part of our progress. As we open our 3 rd grading chapter, excitement filled our hearts. We are curious yet anxious. We encountered different styles of learnings coming from our different teachers. We saw how compassionate they are with their own different ways.
